INSITU-METALLOGRAPHIC REPLICA TESTING

INSITU-METALLOGRAPHIC REPLICA TESTING

In-situ Metallographic Replica Testing is a specialized non-destructive metallurgical examination technique used to assess the microstructural condition of components directly at the site—without needing to cut or remove material samples.
This method is essential for life assessment, failure analysis, and preventive maintenance in critical components such as boilers, steam lines, turbines, reactors, and pressure vessels.

Our Capabilities Include :

•    Microstructure Analysis
•    Grain Size and Grain Boundary Measurement
•    Decarburization Studies
•    Phase Transition and Thermal Degradation Analysis
•    Carbide Precipitation & Material Failure Studies
•    Creep Damage Classification (Type I to IV)
•    Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) of in-service components

Key Benefits :
•   No need to dismantle or destruct the component
•   Accurate assessment of high-temperature material degradation
•   Supports fitness-for-service (FFS) and life extension programs
•   Cost-effective method for critical asset monitoring
We use high-magnification portable microscopes and industry-standard replication kits to capture metallographic replicas that are      later analyzed in the lab for precise evaluation.
